Movie: Madagascar
2005 Dreamworks. For more info, check out the movie's website.
I saw Madagascar last night with my sister pinyapol and had a blast. I love animated movies, anyone who generally dislikes animation in general has a childhood issue I think. He he..
The premise of the movie revolves around the zebra Marty's dream about being in the wild. The other animals in the New York Central Park Zoo, his best friend star-lion-king-of-the-zoo Alex, sassy hippo Gloria and hypochondriac giraffe Melman don't want to budge from their comfortable city life. The only other animals who wanted to get out of the zoo were the penguins. The penguins were hilarious. They look cute and cuddly but they are psychotic deep inside... Plotting all kinds of schemes just to go to Antartica. Kind of like one person I know, not that my friend wants to go to Antarctica, he's just plain devious :)
When they are finally in the wilds (unwillingly) of Madagascar, Marty realizes that he didn't like the wild at all. Even the penguins realize that Antarctica wasn't as cool as they imagined it to be.
Even if he was sooo hungry he could eat a horse (or a zebra), Alex the Lion demonstrated that even animals can control their base instincts in favor of friendship.
Along the way, they encounter the party-loving lemurs and hungry foosas.
------
Personal Note: I wonder why 60% of married Pinoys could not contain their base instincts in favor of marital infidelity? Oh... Someone whispered that Pinoy males are not as highly evolved as lions he he... In this fish-out-of-water (or animals-out-of-the-zoo) movie, it just got me thinking of the movie "Castaway" (Tom Hamks). The movie even has a reference to Tom's ball Wilson in one scene. Of course, if you haven't seen "Castaway" you wouldn't know what I am talking about.
Well folks, as I have said before, I will say it again anyways, don't take this seriously, 'cause I certainly don't! Ciao :)
