Live 8

I was only able to catch Mariah Carey, Maroon 5, The Police (woo hoo) on Live 8. I wasn't able to watch U2 (drat!). I hope ABC 5, a local station in the Philippines who holds the exclusive license to air Live 8, decides to air it again...

I live in a third world country, with a ballooning debt problem and a heart-wrenching poverty situation. Sadly, the message of Live 8 was eclipsed by the Gloriagate scandal.

It takes more than swaying the G8 to eradicate poverty. But Live 8 is a good way to start opening the discussions on an important issue.
