I don't know what it is about Valentine's Day that makes people really weird. Women tend to become (more) emotional than usual. Men tend to become (more) baffled than usual.

My sister got chocolates and flowers. No, not from her boytoys :D but from her first grade students. Awww...

As I was saying previously, I was going to brush up on my Spanish. I dug into my old "baul" (chest) of school stuff (yep, still have them heheh) and found my sister's Spanish 1/2 book. Wonder where mine is? Ooh yeah, I think I donated it or something...

Anyways, as I was doing the first exercise, the phrase Como esta (vd.) came up. And I thought about the Filipino term of salutation, "kumusta" which is a derivation of the Spanish Como esta. We have been influenced a lot by Mother Spain. But it's funny how most Filipinos would love to get a US green card. Just look, there are no queues in the Spanish Embassy vs the conga lines in the US Embassy.
