The Reason For Being

Actually I don't know. Because if I say we're here for a purpose, that means that we are predestined to do the things we do -- that if we are predestined to kill someone or do other things to screw up our lives and everyone else's around us, then so be it (this is the most abused, simplistic reason when people eff up their lives).

So I will just say I don't freaking know. But this I am sure: I will live in the here and now. I will do what I think is right based on societal mores and reason. I will think before I dive. I will love cute things. I will be kikay. I will be beautiful on the OUTSIDE as well as inside. I will eat chocolate and to hell with fat! I will say what's on my mind and I will demand to know the truth, awful or otherwise. I will follow the golden rule and will only be kind to those who were kind to me. I will NOT be a doormat anymore. I will NOT be silent anymore. I will give everyone else a piece of my mind when they try to demean me and my character and the people I love. I will even go to court to shut them up nyahaha...

I will be kind to the universe, even if others aren't. I will try to be reasonable when others are shtoopid. I will be faithful if others are sluts. I will be a friggin' b*tch when I need to be. I will fight tooth and nail even if it's useless to do so. I will be loud. I will be proud. I will be me.
---

Whew! That was some serious ranting. Hehe, the reason for the above monologue is the realization that: many people are both bad AND bad-looking, many people are pretentious farts thinking they can be christian and get away with anything, many girls are whores because of necessity, more girls are sluts out of sheer stupidity, most guys are chronic unfaithful pigs and I am one b*tchy gal out to save my arse --and only mine!-- from the world. Nyahahaha! Ok, will shut up. For now.

And oh, Happy Halloween everyone!

Liliw, Laguna Rocks

Cheryl, Jen and I went to Liliw, Laguna. I know, Cheryl was in heaven because of the stores upon stores of shoes all lining Gat Tayaw Street. Ang galing. Ang lamig even if it was noontime, you could feel the Makiling breeze. In the first place, ang mura na. $5 a pair and you can even haggle. Cheryl's shoe quota was 10 pairs but she managed to buy 5 pairs for her and 2 for her mom. Too many shoes, so little time!

I didn't have any intention of buying anything but ended up buying a pair of oh-s0-comfy slip-ons that look like Birkenstocks.

Liliw also has a beautiful brick church which has been restored.

Jen and Cheryl.

Cheryl and Jen inside Arabela's.

Another surprise was also waiting for us at Liliw. Jen complained that she couldn't find any decent place to eat at there in the past, just the neighboorhood turo-turo. But on a street parallel to Gat Tayaw (where the shoe stores are), was a resto/cafe called Arabela's. And it was a treasure waiting to be found! Yummy food, cheap too (by Manila standards). We had seafood marinara, carbonara, beef lasagna, cake of the day, walnut fudge, mocha floats and the bill amounted to just about 375 pesos. That's just the cost of a dish in Makati!

Cheryl's seafood marinara.

My walnut fudge. Yum yum!

Waitressing at Arabela's.

Basta you have to go there to believe.

The downside was when we were heading back to San Pablo, Nagcarlan was in the middle of a fiesta or something and our transpo had to be rerouted. We travelled across mountains, unpaved roads, creepy forges and steep ravines, I'm not kidding.

Also, much thanks to Jen, our tour guide! :)

Forever Prince-Less

Someone once told me, that in our lifetime we have to meet a few frogs before meeting our prince. Thing is, I haven't met any frogs YET. Does this mean I will never meet the One Prince for my weird Princess? Nooooo....

Seize the Moment

I usually don't. Probably it's the Libra in me, probably it's the decades of self-restraint. Or religion. Or good sense.

But when you want to tell someone that you love them, I think you just have to do it. Whether they be your mother, father, sister, brother, best friend, lover...

If you love someone, just say it. Right then, say it out loud. Lest the moment passes. Penge tissue, *sniff sniff*

Therapy and Writing

People ask me how I can write lots of stuff in a couple of days. You see, writing is like therapy to me. If people overeat or sleep or have kinky sex when they are depressed, I write. I am very emotional and writing seeks to purge negative emotions. My emotions are directly proportional to the amount of work I write. So if I am especially emotional for a day, I usually churn out a truckload of blog posts. If I am emotional for a whole month, well, you do the math.

How Machiavellian Are You?

This is somewhat interesting... I always thought I was more Machiavellian than the average girlie...

You Are Somewhat Machiavellian

You're not going to mow over everyone to get ahead...
But you're also powerful enough to make things happen for yourself.
You understand how the world works, even when it's an ugly place.
You just don't get ugly yourself - unless you have to!

The Thing About...

Work . In school, you have teachers bombarding you with utopian thoughts of how reward and recognition are directly proportional to the amount/quality of work you do. Wrong.
People. Religion teaches us that a person is basically good. I don't wanna sound so know-it-all but... Wrong. Some people are just plain bad to the bone. And they're so good at pretending otherwise. Tsk tsk.
Men. John Gray tells us they're from Mars. I say, they're from the animal kingdom, bwahahaha... You want a good representative picture of a Pinoy male? Go to the zoo, laddie.
Pinoy Big Brother. Ooh, yes, they say Freud is so old school, but I say, we always give in to our most base, voyeuristic tendencies. They say PBB is a reflection of how Pinoys ACTUALLY live. So... I wanna see some sex in PBB, preferably with no protection please, kissing is so tame, MTRCB. I wanna see someone get pregnant. I wanna see someone get STDs. I wanna see some frontal nudity. I wanna see profanity. I wanna see catfights and mud wrestling. Dammit, don't these things happen in real life? So, how come PBB doesn't have these? Attention, ABS-CBN honchos... Nyahahaha..
Relatives. You can choose your friends, but you cannot choose relatives, sadly.
Women. Regardless of how smart a woman is, she sucks in love. Sad, but mostly true. Cristy told me it's the universe's way of balancing things out...
